Campusbook should feel approachable and social, but more composed than a legacy social network.
Tone#
- Friendly, direct, and useful
- Built around community participation rather than creator performance
- Clear enough for new students, alumni groups, and campus organizers
Visual direction#
- Clean blue-led core palette with warm highlight accents for activity
- Rounded interface primitives with generous spacing around feed content
- Real photography, campus scenes, and authentic member moments over glossy abstract illustration
UX language#
- Use verbs that reflect participation: join, post, reply, RSVP, follow up
- Keep moderation and privacy copy calm and explicit
- Avoid internet-slang overload in primary navigation or system messaging
Brand guardrails#
- The feed should never look like a gaming dashboard.
- Trust and safety messaging should feel operational, not punitive.
- Community surfaces should feel lively without becoming visually chaotic.
